Bambi came into our care as a happy, loving, and excitable young girl who instantly won the hearts of everyone she met. ❤️

When Bambi went in for what should have been a routine spay procedure, our vets discovered that something wasn’t quite right. Further investigations led to a referral to a specialist in Wakefield, where devastating news followed. Bambi was diagnosed with a very serious congenital heart condition, including having only one artery and several other complex abnormalities affecting her heart.

Despite the severity of her condition, Bambi is currently showing no symptoms and continues to enjoy life to the fullest. At this stage, surgery is considered too high-risk, so specialists have recommended ongoing monitoring rather than surgical intervention. Bambi is now on long-term medication and will require regular check-ups and annual scans to carefully monitor her condition.

Through it all, Bambi remains the same happy, affectionate girl who loves people and deserves nothing but the very best life possible. 🥰

Because of her medical needs, Bambi will be looking for a long-term foster home where she can enjoy the comfort and stability of family life while continuing to receive the care and support she needs. We are currently searching for that special foster home that can give her the love she deserves.
