Even though we find new homes for over 150 animals per year we are asked to take in many more. The cost of caring for any animal is steadily rising and that is why we need your help. Our animal shelter is totally dependent on the generosity of people like you to help us to care for those who have no-one. We do not receive any government funding at all – rather subsidising on donations, sponsors, and various dog shows & fundraising events that we attend.
Most of our animals find loving new homes but those who need a little extra care will always be safe and happy with us. If you can help to support one of our animals who are residents for life because they need a little extra care, then they will be getting some extra love from you too!
"Friends of the Shelter"
We produce a news letter three times a year with various news, items, and appeals for the shelter. To join the Friends of the Shelter and receive our newsletter, it costs £15 p/a.
Monthly Paw Draw
The Monthly Paw Draw was founded in 2005 and continues to aid our shelter. It costs £2 per month, per number and you can purchase as many as you like. We hold a draw each month and there are 4 possible prizes available: £50, £100, £150 and £250. The prizes may increase the more people join, at the committee’s discretion.
Kennel Sponsor
You may sponsor a kennel for £10 per week (minimum of 12 weeks), in which you will receive a certificate of sponsorship and a picture of each dog, or cat, that resides in that kennel.
Sponsor a Long Term Animal

Charity Shop
Pop in for a browse, grab yourself a bargain, and say hello to our lovely charity shop volunteers! Every penny raised from our shop goes directly to supporting the shelter and the animals in our care.
Your donations are the reason we can keep doing the work that we do. The costs of living are steadily rising, and those related to animal care increase with the rest.
