Fostering

Fostering a Cat or Dog

For some of our shelter residents, adoption may not always be the most suitable option for one of many reasons — including age or chronic illnesses.

We operate a foster scheme for elderly cats and dogs who enter our care, seen as they cannot be insured and have many ongoing medical issues that require treatment. We pay for all vet bill and routine treatment for these animals, and the foster carer is expected to provide love, exercise and food for the remainder of the animal’s life.

If you’re interested in fostering one of our lovely senior pets, please do get in touch to go through the vetting process. Being able to offer love and comfort in the twilight years of an animal’s life is both a gift & highly important work, and we would love to discuss it with you.
