Our 2026 Events Calendar
We’re excited to share something very special with our supporters – for the first time ever, Destitute Animal Shelter will be hosting our own calendar of fundraising events throughout 2026.
This is a big step for us, and one we’re incredibly proud of. If all goes well, we hope these events will become annual highlights, bringing our community together to support the dogs and cats who rely on us every day.
While full details are still to be announced, we wanted to give you an early look so you can save the dates and join us when the time comes.
Dates for Your Diary
Here’s what we have planned so far:
Thursday 20 March – Quiz Night at Mercure Hotel
A fun and friendly evening to kick off our events calendar. Perfect for teams, friends and anyone who loves a good quiz.May – Virtual Dog Walk
A flexible, feel-good fundraiser you can take part in wherever you are, walking your dog (or borrowing one) in support of the shelter.Wednesday 17 June – Ladies Lunch at Mercure Hotel
A relaxed daytime event bringing supporters together for good company and a great cause.Sunday 19 July – Summer Funday at Mercure Hotel
A family-friendly day with plenty to enjoy, celebrating summer while supporting our animals.Saturday 26 September – Charity Gala at Mercure Hotel
An evening to dress up, come together and help raise vital funds for the shelter.Saturday 24 October – 80s Night at Mercure Hotel
A fun, retro night to close out our events calendar in style.
